Since the outbreak, the International Ecological Economy Promotion Association(IEEPA) has been proactive at the grassroots of the capital and has participated directly in the quarantine service. One team for two people, has been working in charge of duty in the Jianguomen Street, Dongcheng District, and has significantly alleviated the work intensity and pressure of the personnel working at epidemic checkpoints at the grassroots. In accordance with the needs of grassroots work, finest volunteers have been actively drafted into the front by IEEPA and played their role of the Party’s vanguard band. Starting on March 5 with a full-time shift of 2 people at a time for two hours, volunteers have been carrying out uninterrupted duty in the Jianguomen Beijing Railway Station North community. In addition to the indigenous residents, there are many other units such as hotels, various small commercial ports and so on. With a large number of vehicles and people moving in and out of the city, the heavy task of epidemic prevention and inspection expects a higher standard of the number of staff and their abilities. As well as the residents and employees come and out on a daily basis, there are also a great number of outsiders come here to do business, which adds a great deal of pressure to the quarantine inspection work.

In particular, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., the flow of people is most concentrated, which objectively makes it impossible to improve efficiency and also irritated personnel from various sectors. In the course of duty, the staff of IEEPA often encounters with people who are impatient, uncooperative with inspections, or even break into checkpoints, for both objective and subjective reasons. Therefore, when faced with this kind of problem, we must take prompt and decisive measures to solve it.
