1. Qualifications for application as member units of the International Ecological Economy Promotion Association

(1) The qualification for member units is limited to 20 fields throughout the year, and only one unit in each field is supposed to apply. Their applications must keep in line with the ecological development of economy, and relevant institutions should meet entry requirements and regulations posed by governments and associations. In the meantime, the unit should be nominated by at least one academician of the the Chinese Academy of Engineering or the Chinese Academy of Sciences, or be recommended by one senior consultative member of our High-level Consultative Committee, or be nominated by at least one academician from main Academies of Sciences or Academies of Engineering. (The list is attached. )

(2) When the maximum of applications is reached given the same conditions, we will take the number of nomination by academicians or people from High-level Consultative Committee as our entry standards. Upon approval, applicants will be qualified as our member units. After reporting qualifications to the Board of Directors, a representative will be delegated to engage in follow-up matters.

(3) Heads or leaders of member units who have the willingness join the Board of Directors shall go through co-option procedures.

(4) Within one period of 5-year member qualification, member units will be evaluated by the Secretariat, who is entrusted by the Board of Directors. If there emerges serious risk that will pose threats to ecology and public interests, de-list procedures will be initiated.

(5) According to regulations, member units will support non-profit activities in the form of membership fees. They will obtain bills regarding social organizations,which are uniformly printed by the Finance Department. Relevant donation projects will get donation bills for social welfare issued by the Finance Department.

(6) The Secretariat will be responsible for the liaison of member units. General office is responsible for the general work.

(1) The qualification for standing director units is limited to 5 fields throughout the year, and only one unit in each field is supposed to apply. Their applications must keep in line with the ecological development of economy, and relevant institutions should meet entry requirements and regulations posed by governments and associations. The unit should be nominated by at least two academicians of the the Chinese Academy of Engineering or the Chinese Academy of Sciences, or be nominated by at least two academicians from main Academies of Sciences or Academies of Engineering. (The list is attached. )In the meantime, the unit shall obtain personal recommendation from president or chair of the Academic Committee.
