On May 23, 2023, the main leaders of the association visited the Italian Embassy in China and had talks with Mr. Tommaso Giavoni, Deputy Director of the Economic and Commercial Department of the Italian Embassy in China, and Mr. Luca Formenti, Commercial Commissioner. The two sides had in-depth communication and exchanges on strengthening cooperation and exchanges in carbon neutrality, ecology, economy and enterprises, and building a multi field exchange platform between China and Italy.

Secretary General Liu Hongzhi first expressed gratitude to the Italian Embassy in China for providing exchange opportunities and introduced the main development overview of the association as well as the current main work of the association.

Under the leadership of the new leaders, the Association quickly recruited outstanding members and unit members on the basis of integrating relevant resources. At present, the Association has a working foundation and resources for the environment, economy and carbon neutrality related fields. Italy has many relevant public and private government departments and enterprises resources and technology products. We hope to strengthen ties and strengthen civil cooperation in various fields between China and Italy.

Mr. Tommaso Giavoni, Deputy Director of the Economic and Commercial Department of the Italian Embassy in China, first expressed his welcome and gratitude for the visit of the Beijing International Ecological Economy Promotion Association. He introduced the recent work situation of the Economic and Commercial Department of the Italian Embassy in China. Despite the impact of the epidemic in the previous three years, the Commercial Department still promoted the organization of multiple exchange activities related to the government, enterprises, and technology between China and Italy, promoting communication and mutual learning between the two countries. Tommaso Giavoni hopes to maintain contact and strengthen communication with the Beijing International Ecological Economy Promotion Association in the future, hoping to have more opportunities to participate in each other's activities.

In this meeting, both sides reached a consensus and expressed their willingness to continue strengthening exchanges and seeking opportunities for cooperation, especially in the current context of global ecological and economic development, to further explore more possibilities for cooperation. Both sides serve as bridges to strengthen international exchanges between the two sides, jointly achieving a new situation of more openness and exchanges between China and Italy.
