On May 29, 2023, Vice President Li Sheping and his delegation visited the Pakistani Embassy in China and held talks with Mr. Khan Muhammad Wazir, Technical Counselor of the Pakistani Embassy in China, and Ms. Fareena Arshad, Political Counselor of the Pakistani Embassy in China. The two sides had in-depth communication and exchanges on strengthening cooperation and exchanges in carbon neutrality, ecology, economy and enterprises, and building a multi-field exchange platform between China and Pakistan.

Vice President Li Sheping first expressed his gratitude to the Pakistani Embassy in China for providing exchange opportunities, and introduced the overview of main development of the association, as well as the main projects and development direction of the association at present.

Under the leadership of the new leadership, the association has integrated relevant resources and absorbed a large number of individual and corporate members, which has driven the project development of many of our member units. At present, the association is interested in many fields related to environment, economy and ecology, and opportunities to cooperate with other enterprises and governments. We hope to act as a bridge to connect enterprises and other cooperation projects of China and Pakistan, so that the two countries can have more opportunities to cooperate.

Mr. Khan Muhammad Wazir, Technical Counselor of the Pakistani Embassy in China, later expressed his welcome and gratitude to the visit of the Beijing International Ecological Economy Promotion Association. He introduced the recent work of the Pakistani Embassy in China. Mr. Khan Muhammad Wazir hopes to continue to maintain contact with Beijing International Ecological Economy Promotion Association in the future, strengthen communication, and have more opportunities to participate in each other's activities. The embassy expressed interest in the association's cooperation on soil, water, air pollution and renewable energy. We also welcome the association to organize experts and enterprises that expect to invest in Pakistan to visit Pakistan, and the embassy will help arrange enterprises and experts to conduct research in relevant companies.

During the talks, the two sides reached a consensus that they should continue to strengthen exchanges and seek opportunities for cooperation between the two sides, especially in the context of the current world ecological and economic development, to further explore more cooperation projects. The embassy and the association should play a good role as a bridge to strengthen domestic and international exchanges, and jointly achieve a new situation of greater openness and more exchanges between China and Pakistan.
