Recently, academician Wang Fuming, a famous geotechnical engineering expert, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, director of the Yellow River Laboratory, deputy director of the Engineering Department of Sun Yat-sen University, dean of the School of Civil Engineering of Sun Yat-sen University, professor and doctoral supervisor of Zhengzhou University, has become an academic member of our association. and Deputy Chairman of the Expert Committee.

Academician Wang Fuming is mainly engaged in research on infrastructure water disaster prevention and control and trenchless repair technology. In 2015, he was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and a member of the 13th and 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

Academician Wang Fuming has long been engaged in research on the theory and technology of safety maintenance of basic engineering facilities, and has made systematic innovations in the prevention and control of leakage and water intrusion in basic projects and the diagnosis and treatment of hidden diseases. He proposed a new method for constructing flexible anti-seepage bodies for soil dams, established the diffusion theory of non-aqueous reactive polymers, and invented a complete set of polymer grouting technology and equipment for anti-seepage and surge blocking in dams and underground projects. He established the inversion theory of dielectric properties and mechanical properties of layered structures, proposed a polymer fine grouting method based on non-destructive testing, and developed rapid trenchless repair technology for highways, high-speed rail ballastless tracks and underground pipelines. Research results have been widely used in anti-seepage repairs and emergency rescue of basic projects, solving many major engineering problems.

The large amount of data accumulated through long-term testing made him aware of various diseases on China's highways. He proposed a new concept of trenchless highway maintenance that combines non-destructive testing with polymer grouting, and established a system that combines industry, academia and research. The R&D team carried out multidisciplinary joint research and invented the polymer fine grouting technology, which solved the problems of treating typical diseases such as hollowing out of the base layer of China's highways and mud pumping. He has presided over the completion of 12 national and provincial key scientific research projects and more than 60 key engineering science and technology projects.

He devoted himself to the research on non-destructive testing and non-excavation repair technology and equipment for basic engineering, and achieved original results, which were applied to the South-to-North Water Diversion Project, Yiwan Railway, Yesanguan Tunnel, Suzhou River Dam in Shanghai, Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway, and Lanzhou-Xinjiang Expressway. Major projects such as railways and Guangzhou underground pipelines have solved a series of technical problems in leakage, prevention, repair and reinforcement, and emergency rescue.

In 1991, he was invited to participate in the SHRP-A005 project of the U.S. Strategic Highway Research Program and proposed a pavement structure inversion method based on the system identification principle. It was considered by international experts to be a breakthrough in inversion theory and of great significance to the development of highway non-destructive testing technology. value.

In 2004, he worked with the team to create the inversion theory of subgrade pavement material properties, and developed road non-destructive testing and evaluation technology based on ground-penetrating radar and dynamic deflection meters. He won the third prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, and the results were listed as national by the Ministry of Science and Technology. Key scientific and technological achievements promotion projects are promoted nationwide.

He has won 1 second prize of the National Technological Invention Award, 1 second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, and 1 third prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award. He is the first academic leader in the doctoral program of the first-level discipline of water conservancy engineering at Zhengzhou University. In 2008, the engineering safety academic team he led was rated as the "Henan Province Innovative Technology Team". In 2014, the collaborative innovation team that combined industry, academia, and research led by him won the second prize of the National Technology Invention Award.
