IEEPA's recommendations on accelerating the development of anti-resistance-free green farming

Through the relentless efforts of the new council and secretariat, Beijing Global Index Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Global Index") has made significant progress in its capital reduction efforts. This move aims to address a series of historical issues, protect the association's reputation and asset security, and ensure the company's healthy and orderly development.

The advancement of the capital reduction work has received strong support from the legal and accounting teams. They have conducted extensive communications with relevant shareholders and strictly followed the procedures stipulated by the new Company Law, ensuring the legality and transparency of the entire capital reduction process. In addition, to protect the rights and interests of creditors and other stakeholders, the company has taken various measures to fully safeguard the legal rights and interests of all parties from infringement.

While the Global Index is reducing its capital, the association is also actively addressing some long-standing unresolved issues. These issues cover multiple fields, and their complexity and sensitivity require the association to invest a lot of resources and energy. By establishing special working groups, the association has successfully resolved some issues, and other related work is also progressing in an orderly manner.

Recently, Dr. Liu Hongzhi, the Vice President and Secretary-General of our association, made a special visit to Researcher Huang Qifei at the Chinese Academy of Environmental Sciences. The two parties engaged in discussions on new issues and trends in the field of solid waste management. They also delved into innovations in solid waste treatment technologies, improvements in policies and regulations, and collaboration within the industry.

This visit not only strengthened the exchange and cooperation between our association and the Chinese Academy of Environmental Sciences but also provided new ideas and directions for the future development of the solid waste sector. It is believed that with the joint efforts of both parties, more significant achievements will be made in solid waste treatment and resource utilization, contributing positively to building a beautiful China.

Recently, Dr. Liu Hongzhi, the Executive Vice President and Secretary-General of our association, made a special trip to the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment to visit old friends at the center, reminisce about past times, and discuss collaboration opportunities.

Recently, a delegation from our association made a special visit to the Chengdu Municipal People's Government to engage in in-depth discussions on strengthening bilateral cooperation and promoting mutual development. The visit was warmly received and highly valued by Wang Zhihua, a member of the Standing Committee of the Chengdu Municipal Committee and Deputy Mayor.

On June 8, 2024, People's Daily featured a special report titled "Exploring New Paths for Ecological Priority and Green Development," highlighting the Taixing High-Tech Zone EOD project supported by our association. The project has received high recognition from both the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and the team led by Zhao Yunhao from the Institute of Planning under the Ministry of Ecology and Environment.

During the Dragon Boat Festival, our association worked overtime with the Yunnan Provincial Academy of Environmental Science to conduct in-depth discussions on ecological restoration智库 recommendations for phosphogypsum and related application demonstrations, providing an industry-academia-research collaborative case study for the environmental risk prevention of phosphogypsum resource utilization and ecological restoration.

Recently, I had the honor of inviting a renowned professor from Peking University, who is also the vice president of our association, to carefully and meticulously revise and guide the reports intended for submission to the China Association for Science and Technology. The professor not only provided crucial suggestions for the perfection of the reports with his profound academic expertise and rich practical experience but also offered valuable guidance and support for the history and future development of our association.

Recently, the scientific team from the YUNLONGHU Laboratory held their third meeting in a hybrid format to discuss the synergistic promotion of deep underground space and ecological protection restoration for future industrial development. Teams led by Professor Zhang Haijun, Professor Bian Bo, Professor Huang Qifei, and relevant personnel participated in the meeting.

The meeting focused on core issues, addressing the next steps in division of labor and other concerns, and conducted an in-depth discussion on the expected goals of future projects. At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Liu Hongzhi, Vice President and Secretary-General of our association, gave a brief introduction to the projects that had been previously proposed. Subsequently, the teams led by Professor Zhang Haijun, Professor Bian Bo, Professor Huang Qifei, and related personnel engaged in enthusiastic discussions around the theme of the meeting. Everyone delved into the next steps for the division of labor and the expected goals of the projects, putting forward many constructive opinions and suggestions.

I will hold the third meeting with the team of scientists from Yunglong Lake Laboratory on promoting future industrial development through the synergy between deep underground space and ecological protection and restoration.

Recently, I was invited to attend the grand wedding of a young expert, where I delivered sincere blessings from all members of our association to the newlyweds. This wedding was not only an important moment in the lives of the couple but also a testament to the close relationship and shared growth between our association and young experts.

Our association has always placed great emphasis on its relationship with experts, caring for their growth and development, and is committed to providing them with more support and assistance. Throughout their careers, our association remains a solid backing for experts, offering comprehensive services such as academic exchanges, research collaborations, and career advancement. The expert seminar on the standard system for addressing climate change was held in Beijing from June 16th to 17th, 2024. The IEEPA was invited to participate in this conference and discuss with experts and scholars from all over the country the construction plan of a national standard system for addressing climate change.

  The conference is led and organized by the Chinese Academy of Environmental Sciences and the Institute of Standards of the Chinese Academy of Environmental Sciences, aiming to provide strong support for building a scientific, reasonable, and effective standard system for addressing climate change through in-depth discussions among experts.

The IEEPA, as an invited unit of this conference, actively participated in discussions and exchanges. We will fully leverage our own advantages, combine them with the actual situation, and contribute wisdom and strength to the construction of the national standard system for addressing climate change.

I will be invited to attend the Expert Discussion on the Standard System for Climate Change Response, to jointly seek a new chapter in national climate change response.

Recently, a group of experts from the logistics, cold chain, and financial sectors in Dalian visited our association. They engaged in-depth discussions on topics such as antibiotic-free practices, certification, funds, and green energy cooperation. The purpose of this exchange was to strengthen bilateral cooperation and jointly promote innovation and development in related fields.

During the meeting, the experts from Dalian first introduced the current development status and future trends of the local logistics, cold chain, and financial industries. Subsequently, both parties had in-depth exchanges on antibiotic-free technology, certification systems, fund operations, and green energy cooperation.

This exchange not only enhanced mutual understanding and trust but also reached several consensuses on future cooperation. Both parties expressed their intention to further strengthen communication and cooperation to jointly promote innovation and development in logistics, cold chain, and financial sectors, contributing to building a better future.

On June 12th, Dr. Liu Hongzhi, the Vice President and Secretary-General of our association, along with staff from the Secretariat, visited the Turkish Cultural Center in Beijing. The center's director, Ali Ouzhan Yuksel, warmly welcomed Secretary-General Liu and his team. During this visit, both parties not only gained a deeper understanding of each other's work and responsibilities but also engaged in hopeful discussions about future cooperation in the fields of culture and environmental protection, expressing a keen desire to establish further cooperative relationships.

During the exchange, Dr. Liu Hongzhi, the Vice President and Secretary-General, first introduced to the Turkish side the main responsibilities of the association, including promoting ecological economic development and participating in environmental protection projects. Subsequently, Ali Ouzhan Yuksel, Director of the Beijing Turkish Cultural Center, also detailed their efforts and achievements in promoting Sino-Turkish cultural exchanges and spreading Turkish culture.

Both parties expressed a strong desire to further promote cooperation in the fields of culture and environmental protection, and put forward constructive suggestions on how respective institutions in each country could strengthen collaboration. This meeting not only built a communication bridge for China and Turkey in the areas of environment and cultural exchange but also laid a solid foundation for future cooperation.

My collaboration with the Beijing Turkish Cultural Center is expected to launch a series of cultural exchange and environmental cooperation projects between China and Turkey. Through the joint efforts of both parties, we will undoubtedly achieve fruitful results in these areas, contributing to the mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples of the two countries.

We are now officially launching practical and innovative training content including Environmental Stewardship, Environmental Assessment, Environmental Law Enforcement, Environmental Monitoring, Environmental Certification, and ESG, aimed at enhancing the professional capabilities and overall quality of practitioners in the environmental field, promoting the sustainable and healthy development of the industry.

The planning of this training content has always adhered to the concept of practical innovation, closely aligning with current trends and demands in the environmental sector. The goal is to improve trainees' operational and response capabilities in actual work through systematic and comprehensive training. Recently, significant progress has been made in the preparatory work for the new round of EOD (Ecology-Oriented Development) projects, and we have now entered the phase of practical exploration with local areas. Our expert team and high-quality member units are fully leveraging their professional strengths to jointly strategize for local economic development, providing strong support.

In the preparation process for this EOD project, our expert team and member units have conducted in-depth research on the ecological environment, economic development status, and industrial layout of multiple regions. They have closely cooperated with local governments to explore how to integrate the EOD model with local realities, achieving an organic unity of ecological protection and economic development.

Currently, the preparatory work for the EOD project is steadily advancing. We will continue to strengthen communication and collaboration with local governments to jointly promote the implementation of the EOD model in more regions. Recently, I organized a seminar on the sustainable development of ecological industries in Tianya District, Sanya, organized by central state-owned enterprises, and planned to conduct on-site research in June.

On May 22nd, Dr. Liu Hongzhi, Vice President and Secretary General of our association, had in-depth exchanges with senior executives such as Zhao Jiangang, Executive President of Dalian Ruidong Group Ruidong Group, Wang Xia, Strategic President, and Ma Huilian, President of the Financial Sector, through online communication on EOD ecological funds and ecological logistics. Both sides expressed a strong desire to strengthen cooperation during the dialogue.

The person in charge of China Energy Construction Northwest Institute recently visited our association, and the two sides had in-depth exchanges on agricultural and rural energy innovation, energy efficiency improvement in industrial parks, and EOD deep space carbon waste collaborative treatment technology in Chengde area. During the meeting, both sides emphasized their respective strengths in addressing global climate change challenges and expressed a strong desire to seek win-win cooperation in the aforementioned areas. Through this meeting, China Energy Northwest Institute and our association have further clarified the direction and focus of future cooperation, laying a solid foundation for promoting energy innovation and sustainable development in related fields.

From May 17th to 19th, the Wuxi Lihu Ecological Design Festival, with the annual theme of "The Future in Water" and ecological design as its core, kicked off at Lihu (Bogong Island). As one of the initiators, Dr. Liu Hongzhi, Vice President and Secretary General of our association, was invited to participate in the opening ceremony, launch ceremony, the "20-Year Agreement" Lihu Dialogue, and the Global Renewable Industry Salon Dialogue.

At the opening ceremony, the "Li Lake Dialogue" with the theme of "20 Years' Pact" and the main line of "Wuxi Case, the Taihu Lake Lake Miniature" invited experts and scholars in the field of ecological protection, urban management, planning and construction to jointly review that Wuxi has turned "danger" into "opportunity" in the past 20 years, integrating the concept of ecological priority and green development into the course of urban development, and called on all parties to take the design festival as the starting point, take the construction of the future city of Li Lake as the starting point, and jointly look forward to the next 20 years to promote the high-quality development of Wuxi city.

The design festival lasts for three days, during which a series of activities such as art installations, design exhibitions, salon dialogues, market activities, design workshops, documentary screenings, theatrical performances, design case studies, and design ecological tours will all make exciting appearances. The theme forum "Global Climate Action and Sustainable Development" and forums such as "International Cooperation in Renewable Industries, Technology and Ecological Design" will also be held simultaneously.

This design festival is jointly initiated by WDW World Design Week City Network, China Europe Sustainable Development Communication Center, Slow Food International Slow Food Association, Beijing International Ecological Economy Association, and hosted by Wuxi Cultural Tourism Development Group Co., Ltd. and Wuxi Lihu Future City. It is jointly guided and supported by China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation, Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Science Journal (BioGreen), International Ecological Economy Association, Wuxi United Front Work Department, Wuxi Ecological Environment Bureau, Wuxi Water Resources Bureau, Wuxi Urban Development Research Center, and other organizations.

I will be one of the initiators for the successful conclusion of the Wuxi Lihu Ecological Design Festival

In order to deepen the battle against pollution and further promote the green, low-carbon, and high-quality development of Hebei Province, we will continue to innovate the ecological environment oriented development (EOD) model in Shuangqiao District, Chengde City, and promote the realization of ecological product value and high-quality development. At the invitation of the Shuangqiao District Committee and Government of Chengde City, our research team led by Vice President Liu Hongzhi conducted research and held a symposium in Chengde City on May 16th.

During this survey, the research team had a deep understanding of the practices of Shuangqiao District in ecological environment protection and resource utilization. At the same time, on-site inspections were conducted on the construction waste resource utilization project, as well as important ecological projects such as Shuangfengsi Reservoir and Wulie River. Yang Lei, Secretary of the Shuangqiao District Committee, warmly received the research group, and Vice District Mayor Zhang Shengyong and relevant officials from the committee and bureau attended the on-site investigation and symposium. Of particular note, this survey also invited Lu Jing, Deputy Director of the EOD Innovation Center at the Environmental Planning Institute of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment. She not only introduced knowledge related to EOD, but also provided specific guidance for the work, which was highly recognized and praised by Chengde.

The EOD model emphasizes the fundamental position of ecological protection and environmental governance. Through the support of characteristic industry operations and regional comprehensive development carriers, it achieves effective integration between ecological environment governance projects and related industries with good returns. This model helps to solve the financial difficulties in traditional environmental protection projects, while not increasing the government's debt burden, achieving a dual improvement in economic and environmental benefits. With the gradual maturity of pilot projects, the introduction of relevant policies is becoming increasingly intensive, planning and design products are becoming more diverse, and financing models and construction implementation cases are becoming more typical.

On May 9, 2024, the person in charge of our association and Yang Jiakuan, Senior Dean of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, had a friendly discussion, and the two sides had in-depth consultations on the resource utilization of solid waste.

On May 9, 2024, the person in charge of my association was warmly received by Director Wan Lihua of the Hubei Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment. Director Wan highly praised my association's political stance and expressed admiration for my association's courage to tackle technological challenges. He expressed the determination and courage of the Department of Ecology and Environment and my association to work together to solve the current environmental pain points and difficulties.

The Ecological Environment Engineering Company of China Electric Power Construction Group Hubei Engineering Co., Ltd. invited our responsible comrades to exchange ideas at the company. Both sides expressed great concern and support for each other's work in the field, and jointly looked forward to leveraging their respective strengths to tackle national environmental problems and solve the problem of earth pollution.

On May 8th, Pan Dajian, Deputy General Manager of Zhejiang Natural Resources Group/Zhejiang Geological and Mineral Technology Co., Ltd., led a team to visit our association. Dr. Liu Hongzhi, Vice President and Secretary General of our association, and Deputy Secretary General Liu Lingyun warmly welcomed the arrival of Mr. Pan. Both parties had in-depth discussions on the background, business scope, and potential future cooperation of their respective institutions.

On May 9, Dr. Liu Hongzhi, Vice President and Secretary-General of the International Association of Ecological Economics, led a team to Wuhan, Hubei Province, to visit the School of Resources and Environmental Engineering of Wuhan University of Technology. The purpose of this visit is to strengthen academic exchanges, explore innovative cooperation models in the field of ecological and environmental protection, and promote the sustainable development of regional ecological economy. 

During the visit, the two sides had in-depth discussions on a number of environmental projects and visited the laboratory and other related facilities of the college. 

This exchange not only deepened the understanding and understanding of the two sides in the field of ecological and environmental protection, but also laid a solid foundation for future cooperation.

Recently, the full-time vice president of our association conducted an on-site inspection at the Yazhou Graduate School of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. During the inspection, the vice president gained a detailed understanding of the educational philosophy and research direction of Yazhou Graduate School. We have given high praise to the teaching achievements and research level of the college. During the inspection period, the vice president also visited the laboratory and research facilities of the college, expressing appreciation for the advanced scientific research equipment and perfect experimental conditions of the college. Finally, several professors were specially invited to visit the zero waste and zero carbon agricultural park project in nearby Baoqian Village for investigation. The inspection activity of the full-time vice president of our association not only deepened the exchange and cooperation with the Yazhou Graduate School of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, but also laid a solid foundation for future cooperation between both parties.

Manager Pan Dajian introduced the business field and development status of Zhejiang Geology and Mineral Technology Co., Ltd. in detail. The purpose of this visit is to seek opportunities for cooperation with China Association in the fields of ecological environmental protection and green mining, and jointly promote the construction of ecological civilization and the development of green economy. 

Dr. Liu Hongzhi welcomed the representatives of Zhejiang Geology and Mineral Science and Technology Co., Ltd., and introduced the purpose, business activities and achievements in the field of ecological economy in recent years.
