From May 17th to 19th, the Wuxi Lihu Ecological Design Festival, with the annual theme of "The Future in Water" and ecological design as its core, kicked off at Lihu (Bogong Island). At the invitation of the Shuangqiao District Committee and Government of Chengde City, our research team led by Vice President Liu Hongzhi conducted research and held a symposium in Chengde City on May 16th.

Recently, the vice president and secretary-general of our association led a team to Jiaxing Vocational and Technical College for investigation and discussion. Relevant persons in charge of the college participated in the research and exchanges.

The person in charge of Jiaxing Vocational and Technical College gave a detailed introduction to the basic situation of the school, the history of its establishment, and its special majors. It has been 74 years since the college was founded. Its construction was approved by Jiaxing Silk Industrial School and Jiaxing Agricultural School. At present, the school has a total population of 15,000 and more than 900 teachers. There are 50 high-level doctorates and 10 secondary colleges, covering intelligent manufacturing, commerce, international affairs, etc. It currently has three major professional groups: modern agriculture, industrial Internet, and clothing and accessories: the school ranks relatively high among the 50 vocational schools in Zhejiang Province.

From April 14th to 16th, experts from our association visited Huji Town to conduct research and discussions on phosphogypsum management. As a by-product of phosphate fertilizer production, the stacking problem of phosphogypsum has always been a problem for environmental protection. Through field visits and face-to-face communication with local managers, experts discussed the environmental impact of phosphogypsum and its treatment strategies with local government officials and business representatives. And shared the advanced phosphogypsum comprehensive utilization technology at home and abroad. In addition to paying attention to phosphogypsum management, experts also visited the Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The two parties conducted in-depth academic discussions on the issue of aquatic ecotoxicity and discussed how to transform research results into practical applications. Finally, the experts visited the Key Laboratory of Silicates of Wuhan University of Technology and had an in-depth dialogue with the main responsible comrades of the laboratory on future training and consulting cooperation.

Recently, Jiang Wenbo, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and executive deputy general manager of CCIC Southwest Regional Committee, the executive director of our association, led Huang Lu, general manager of the ecological environment business department, Huang He, deputy general manager, and Zhang Xiao, marketing manager, to visit the association to discuss the southwest region. They conducted in-depth exchanges on the ecological environment work in the area. The purpose of this visit is to promote cooperation between the two parties in the field of ecological and environmental protection, especially to strengthen on-site assistance in the southwest area to achieve continuous improvement of regional environmental quality.

During the meeting, Jiang Wenbo pointed out that with the rapid development of the regional economy, the environmental protection tasks in Southwest District are becoming increasingly arduous, and the association needs to play the role of bridge and link, integrate resources, and provide technical support and policy guidance. Mr. Jiang also emphasized the importance of cross-department and cross-industry cooperation, hoping to promote the joint participation of governments, enterprises and all sectors of society through the platform of the association.
